We’re looking for someone who’ll be responsible for creating elegant user interfaces that will enhance the user experience and usage of our site. This includes the look-and-feel, information flow, and visual design that meet the needs of our target customers including people who are less familiar with Web 2.0 sites.
Can you develop user interface specifications, create pixel-perfect mock-ups, and work closely with engineers to implement the designs?
Do you like to work in a dynamic, entrepreneurial environment where you can make things happen quickly?
Can you not only enhance the user experience, but also test of designs with formal and informal usability testing?

• A minimum of three years experience in user experience and visual design of high-traffic Web sites

ABOUT THE ROLE:
We’re looking for a software engineer to join our Java back-end team. Your responsibilities will include designing, implementing and maintaining existing and new features. You will be responsible for the software stack that ranges from the database definition (SQL) all the way up to our Ajax API as used by our frontend engineers.
This is a hands-on position: you will be expected to deliver production quality code within a reasonable schedule. You will be part of a hard working team, dedicated to provide our users the ultimate ease of use and convenience.

ABOUT THE ROLE:
The Vice President of Marketing is responsible for growing the bopaboo customer base and achieving revenue and sales objectives. The primary focus is on achieving all company online sales and membership objectives for the bopaboo marketplace. He/she will be accountable for all aspects of customer acquisition, strategic planning, advertising, customer communications, partnership marketing, promotions, and PR activities. Additional areas of responsibility include driving the website roadmap and purchase process, product pricing and bundling, and overall layout and messaging.
WHAT YOU’LL DO:
•Achieve membership and revenue targets to profitably increase market share through conceptualization, execution, and management of customer acquisition and retention initiatives
•Oversee all advertising efforts, including web media, SEM, SEO, affiliate marketing, blog marketing, promotions and merchandising, and partner marketing across both online and offline channels
•Organize and lead marketing, PR, marketing communications, and partnership marketing in achieving key business objectives while managing budget
•Increase the value of the customer base by increasing new member conversion rates, cross-selling and up-selling
•Develop deep insight into customer needs and incorporate learning into acquisition and retention strategies across online and interactive channels
•Manage PR team, including corporate, product, and consumer public relations efforts

WHAT YOU’LL BRING:
•Proven track record of successfully leading marketing, acquisition and retention teams and will have at least 10 years marketing and/or general management experience, preferably with e-commerce business models; digital media/music experience a HUGE plus
•Managed customer acquisition and loyalty teams in a successful, growing consumer-focused organization and can prioritize initiatives with a strong ROI focus
•Excellent organizational, statistical, strategic thinking, problem-solving, analytical, written and oral presentation skills. Must have a passion about numbers, market indicators, and metrics – and have the analytical skills to translate hard data into insight and action
•Demonstrated success with all aspects of online partnerships – term negotiation, agreement execution, and ongoing partner management

As the VP/Director of Business Development you will be responsible for identifying, evaluating, developing and executing strategic relationships in support of the business. The ideal candidate will help drive the strategy and execution of marketing partnerships including developing relationships with media outlets, television networks, consumer brands, the music industry and more. You will also play a critical role in the acquisition of new customers and members for bopaboo. The ideal candidate will be able to quickly understand and get their arms around complex business concepts, generate ideas for partnership, and build relationships based on value to both parties.
WHAT YOU’LL DO:
- Responsible for the identification, assessment, and execution of strategic high level relationships as well as the operational implementation of business development agreements.
- Manage all inbound Business Development contacts including the prioritization of opportunities.

ABOUT THE ROLE:
bopaboo is seeking a hands-on Director of Finance/Controller to manage the accounting function. The incumbent will be responsible for maintaining the company’s financial records. The Director of Finance will collaborate with team members to analyze company’s financial position with respect to profits, trends, costs, and compliance with budget, reporting findings and making recommendations to senior management.
WHAT YOU’LL DO:
* Direct all aspects of accounting operations, overseeing all transactions related to general ledger, receivables, payables, payroll and financial reporting.
* Analyze company’s financial results with respect to profits, trends, costs and compliance with budgets and issue regular status reports to senior management.
* Develop and maintain all necessary accounting policies and systems, including general ledger and financial reporting, ensuring that records are maintained in accordance with US generally accepted accounting principles.
* Develop and maintain controls for processes related to internal controls and information flow.
* Assist senior management in financial planning and results management. Work with other team members to understand revenue and cost drivers and define appropriate reports for tracking.
* Coordinate, prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
* Coordinate and/or prepare tax schedules, returns and information.
