ABOUT THE ROLE:
The Vice President of Marketing is responsible for growing the bopaboo customer base and achieving revenue and sales objectives. The primary focus is on achieving all company online sales and membership objectives for the bopaboo marketplace. He/she will be accountable for all aspects of customer acquisition, strategic planning, advertising, customer communications, partnership marketing, promotions, and PR activities. Additional areas of responsibility include driving the website roadmap and purchase process, product pricing and bundling, and overall layout and messaging.

WHAT YOU’LL DO:
•Achieve membership and revenue targets to profitably increase market share through conceptualization, execution, and management of customer acquisition and retention initiatives
•Oversee all advertising efforts, including web media, SEM, SEO, affiliate marketing, blog marketing, promotions and merchandising, and partner marketing across both online and offline channels
•Organize and lead marketing, PR, marketing communications, and partnership marketing in achieving key business objectives while managing budget
•Increase the value of the customer base by increasing new member conversion rates, cross-selling and up-selling
•Develop deep insight into customer needs and incorporate learning into acquisition and retention strategies across online and interactive channels
•Manage PR team, including corporate, product, and consumer public relations efforts
•Work closely with the Product team to improve and differentiate the user experience across the website and music service features
•Produce and analyze key trend reports measuring the performance of online campaigns to optimize online channel efficiency and maximize channel ROI
•Analyze attrition rates and develop retention plans, product enhancements, and engagement strategies to encourage customer loyalty and participation
•Develop brand strategy, manage offline and online brand presence, including brand licensing
•Manage all marketing communications, including consumer messaging, email and newsletter campaigns, in-product and upgrade opportunities, promotions, company blog, viral marketing, etc.

WHAT YOU’LL BRING:
•Proven track record of successfully leading marketing, acquisition and retention teams and will have at least 10 years marketing and/or general management experience, preferably with e-commerce business models; digital media/music experience a HUGE plus
•Managed customer acquisition and loyalty teams in a successful, growing consumer-focused organization and can prioritize initiatives with a strong ROI focus
•Excellent organizational, statistical, strategic thinking, problem-solving, analytical, written and oral presentation skills. Must have a passion about numbers, market indicators, and metrics – and have the analytical skills to translate hard data into insight and action
•Demonstrated success with all aspects of online partnerships – term negotiation, agreement execution, and ongoing partner management
•Superior team development and management skills, experience with budget and timeline development, and seasoned experience in all aspects of the marketing mix within the consumer space
•Exceptional judgment and decision-making. Ability to make decisions within a fast-paced environment, communicate rationale, and take action
•Must be resourceful, self-motivated, and able to be successful in a non-traditional, fun, entrepreneurial team-based environment
•BA or BS degree or equivalent, MBA desired
•Good natured, sociable, creative, and diligent individual who is driven, detail-oriented, and dedicated
•Strong understanding of digital music/media a plus
•Individual should be passionate about music!
